Phil Waters, owner of Pride of Cleveland Scooters, is hoping to ride the rising tide of gas prices to business success by opening a second scooter store in the city on the shores of Lake Erie.
To those who know Waters, this move may come as a surprise since it was only four years ago when he attempted to do the same as gas prices rose back then. Unfortunately for Waters, the high fuel prices did not last, and he had to close his first second store.
Talking about this history, Waters said, “This is going to be better for us and more stable for us. That area just didn’t have the pull that we get in Mentor.”
His second second attempt will be a 2,700 square-foot scooter store serving the Mentor, Ohio market. In addition to offering service, the new store will sell Vespa, Aprilia, Honda, Piaggio and KYCMO scooters and serve as a hub for bike nights and other scooter-focused events.
Participants are reminded that motorcycle insurance in Cleveland is required by law, as it is across the state.
